Frank Harris Ruled OUT Friday vs. Army

Updated: Sep 20, 2023

Moments before UTSA and Army is set to kick off in the Alamodome, the Roadrunners have reported some unfortunate news regarding its star quarterback.

After being a gametime decision heading into Friday night's contest against the Cadets, QB Frank Harris has been ruled out due to a foot injury. Harris, who has dealt with injuries his entire career at UTSA will be sidelined for the first time this season.

Frank Harris led the Roadrunners to a 1-1 start, including a 20-13 victory last weekend against in state rival Texas State. So far this season his is 44/73, 423 yards, 2 TDs and 3 INTs.

According to UTSA Head Coach Jeff Traylor during his radio show on Wednesday evening, both Eddie Lee Marburger and Owen McCown share the same amount of reps in practice this week. It would not be surprising if we see both under center in this contest.

Tonight's game vs. Army (1-1) will be on ESPN starting at 6pm CT. The Roadrunners are currently 8-point favorites.

After Friday's game against Army, UTSA will travel to Knoxville to play Tennessee before beginning American Athletic Conference play for the first time.
